Melanie Snowhite is a San Diego based photographer specializing in equine and canine photograhy. Some of her work has appeared in local galleries in the San Diego area, and she has received international as well as local recognition of her work in 2006-07. Melanie is a member of the Photo Arts Group, the International Horse Photographers Association, the Canine Art Guild, Julian Art Guild. the Equine Art Guild, the Professional Photographers of California and the Equine Photographers Network.

 "I photograph the every day dramas of dogs and horses. Animal language is clear and rich, and if I can capture it in an image my heart is happy. Working in beautiful light is my passion, and inspires me to enhance my subjects naturally with what nature has provided-- the purist of light sources.  My influences come from Victorian Animal art...I'm forever trying to capture the drama I see in such works as The Pharoh's Horses or Spirited Horses."
